Recipe Tips

To make the best turkey meatballs for your furry friend, here are some quick tips:

  • Mix Thoroughly: Make sure all ingredients are well combined so each meatball has an even blend of flavors.
  • Cook Evenly: Leave a bit of space between each meatball on the baking sheet, air fryer tray, or skillet for even cooking.
  • Check Doneness: An internal temperature of 165°F means they’re perfectly cooked and safe for your dog.

Serving Size

How many meatballs should you give your dog? A serving would be from 1 to 3 meatballs, based on your dog’s size – one for small dogs, two for medium-sized, and three for larger dogs.

Maintaining a dog’s healthy weight is very important. Keep that in mind when feeding dogs anything besides their regular dog food.

Always start with small quantities when giving your dog new foods or treats, and watch for any adverse reactions.

How to Store the Meatballs and How Long They Last

Store these turkey meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will last up to 4 days.

You can freeze them for longer storage. Place the meatballs on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet with space between them. Freeze them, then transfer the frozen meatballs to a plastic freezer bag.

Frozen meatballs will last up to 3 months. Thaw them in the refrigerator overnight.

Can people eat these meatballs?

Oh yes, they sure can! Everything in them is safe for human consumption. Give one a try and you may want to make a batch for dinner.
