Venison Dog Food

Homemade venison dog food is a delicious and special meal for your pup.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound venison
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli
  • 3/4 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 medium potato
  • 1/2 cup sorghum or brown rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water

Instructions

Instant Pot Method

  • Cut venison into 1/2 inch cubes. Chop broccoli, slice carrots, and cube potato.
  • Place sorghum and water in the bottom of the Instant Pot. Layer in venison, carrots, potato, and broccoli.
  • Place the lid on the pot. Set to manual, high for 30 minutes. Once the cycle has finished, allow it to naturally release the pressure for 30 minutes.
  • Allow to cool to room temperature before serving.

Slow Cooker Method

  • Cut venison into 1/2 inch cubes. Chop broccoli, slice carrots, and cube potato.
  • Place sorghum and water in the bottom of the slow cooker. Layer in venison, carrots, potato, and broccoli.
  • Cook for 4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low. Allow to cool to room temperature before serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
