Slow Cooker Duck and Wild Rice Dog Food

Ingredients

  • 4 cups unsalted chicken broth without onions or garlic
  • 1 cup wild rice blend
  • 2 duck breasts
  • 2 medium carrots peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh green beans cut into bite-sized pieces

Instructions

  • Pour the broth and wild rice into a slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  • Lay the duck breast, green beans, and carrots on top. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 1/2 - 4 hours or until the duck breast is tender.
  • Remove the duck breasts and shred them with a fork. Add the shredded meat back into the pot and stir. Allow to cool completely before serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

Trim off the skin and fat from the duck breasts for lower fat content.
