Pork Dog Food

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen green beans
  • 1 cup sorghum
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1-1.5 pound pork loin roast

Instructions

Slow Cooker

  • Peel, core, and chop the apple. Peel and slice the carrots. Cut green beans into bite-sized pieces.
  • Place the sorghum and water in the slow cooker and stir to combine. Add the pork roast, apple, carrots, and green beans. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours.
  • Remove the roast and shred or chop. Return the meat to the slow cooker and stir all ingredients together. Allow to cool before serving.

Instant Pot

  • Peel, core, and chop the apple. Peel and slice the carrots. Cut green beans into bite-sized pieces.
  • Place the sorghum and water in the Instant Pot and stir to combine. Add the pork roast, apple, carrots, and green beans.
  • Cook on high pressure for 45 minutes. When the cook time ends, allow the pressure to release naturally.
  • Remove the roast and shred or chop. Return the meat to the Instant Pot and stir all ingredients together. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
