Ingredients
2cupsuncooked oatmealold-fashioned rolled oats are best
½cupwhole wheat flour
1egg
½cuppeanut butter
2bananas
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1tablespoonground flaxseed
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a blender or food processor, blend oatmeal until it becomes a flour.
In a large bowl combine all the ingredients using a mixer until well combined. You may need to use your hands to get everything well combined.
With a rolling pin, roll the dough out to about ¼ to ½ inch thickness, according to your preference.
Using a cookie cutter, cut out the dog treats and place them on a non-stick baking sheet or one lined with parchment paper or silicone.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
Place the treats on a wire rack to cool once baked.
Store in an airtight container.
Notes
This recipe makes 10 to 20 treats, depending on the size of the cookie cutter.Do not use peanut butter that contains xylitol, an artificial sweetener toxic to dogs.
