Chicken Casserole for Dogs

A homemade chicken casserole with rice and veggies is a delightful meal for your dog.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen or fresh green beans
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8-inch casserole dish. Prepare the vegetables by dicing the carrots and cutting the green beans into bite-sized pieces.
  • Pour the water and Greek yogurt into the greased casserole dish and stir together. Add the rice, diced carrots, and green beans. Place the chicken on top.
  • Cover and bake for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for 15 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F. Remove from the oven.
  • Shred or cut the chicken into bite sized pieces. Put the chicken back the casserole dish and stir everything together. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
