Ingredients

  • 5-6 Strawberries
  • 1 Banana
  • cup Unsweetened Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup Oat Flour
  • ½ cup Old-fashioned Oats
  • Water as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cut the strawberries into small pieces and set them aside.
  • Mash the banana in a medium bowl.
  • Add peanut butter and stir to combine.
  • Add flour and oats and mix until combined.
  • Add enough water to make a dough that’s easy to put in a mold. Or just enough to make it rollable if you want to roll out the dough and cut out the treats.
  • If using a silicone mold, place the mold on a baking sheet. Add the dough to the mold, and press some strawberry pieces into each one.
  • If rolling and cutting the dough, add the cut strawberries to the dough and combine well. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out to about ¼ to ½ inch thickness, according to your preference. Use a cookie cutter to cut out the treats and place them on a non-stick baking sheet or use parchment paper to cover the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Remove the baked treats from the mold or baking sheet and place them on a wire rack to cool to room temperature.

Notes

Do not use peanut butter that contains xylitol, an artificial sweetener toxic to dogs.
If you bake the treats in silicone molds they will have a softer texture. To make them crunchier, place them on a baking sheet after you remove them from the mold. Bake them at 300°F until they have reached the desired crunchiness.
You can make oat flour by placing uncooked old-fashioned oats in a blender or food processor and blending until it reaches a flour consistency.
