Ingredients

  • 1 cup Oat Flour
  • 4 ounces Baby Food

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Place the baby food and oat flour in a bowl.
  • Mix the two ingredients together to form a dough.
  • Place the dough on a floured surface.
  • Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough until it is ¼-inch thick.
  • Cut out treats using your favorite cookie cutter.
  • Gather scraps and re-roll until all the dough is used.
  • Place the cutouts on a parchment-lined or greased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Cool the treats to room temperature.

Notes

Make sure the baby food does not contain ingredients toxic to dogs. Some of the ones to avoid are citrus, grape, garlic, and onion.
Instead of oat flour, you can use baby oatmeal cereal or other types of flour including brown rice, buckwheat, chickpea, millet, quinoa, spelt, and whole wheat flour.
You can make oat flour by blending uncooked old-fashioned oats in a blender or food processor.
Store the treats in a paper bag for up to 2 weeks. If you store them in an airtight container they may soften.
